Certain Woman was founded by Shelby and Jody Hall—a daughter/mother duo who saw a need in the fashion industry for size-inclusive, modest clothing that would make women feel confident while styling and wearing it.

Shelby has modeled in the industry for five years and wanted to make an impact by offering modest options that are contemporary. Her experience adds breadth to Certain Woman that other brands tend to lack—an educational component— because styling doesn’t come easy for some. That’s where Shelby lends a hand in helping you incorporate these pieces seamlessly into your wardrobe.

Jody contributes over 40 years of experience in Finance and Business Strategy to the Certain Woman team. She, too, sees the need for size-inclusive, modest clothing for all women. She helps curate a collection that daughters AND mothers can wear without feeling out of place. Jody is a nurturer. She wants Certain Woman to inspire confidence in the women who wear it and inspire them to lift others.
